I just CANNOT stop having these hardcore sex dreams about my ex-roommate's ex-boyfriend Mike C. It's getting kind of disturbing. I just had one last night, but there have been days when I'd have another one every night in a row, each one as erotic as the last. He and I had a very troubled love affair, and I suppose he's the reason I have a thing for redheads now. He's another one who has practically no internet presence whatsoever, except that he appears to have been a sales rep for a surfboard company (has to be him) and evidently makes scale models of military vehicles? I'd love to just see what he looks like now.
He's not someone I would ever look for and try to get in touch with him, but this is kind of getting spooky.

I don't know if anyone watched Obama's acceptance speech for the Nobel Prize, but I actually had to find out who this woman was because she's really stunningly gorgeous. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway:
Now THAT is a princess. Seriously, she's not particularly exotic or anything, but definitely in league with Grace Kelly.
Of course I love Obama so much. And I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the Nobel Prize, but I can't help thinking his getting it was a little bit premature. I also had a few problems with his speech. He seemed to spend a little bit too much time and effort on apologizing for America, and then explaining to his European audience why they should love America and fall in line. He obviously had a controversy to deal with, accepting this prize while our country fights two wars. But it seemed a little bit forced to me. "Ameeerricuuuuhhh, FUCK YEAH!"
I've also come to appreciate much more clearly how the "freedoms" proclaimed about capitalist society are not only hypocritical, but also quite false on some level. To say that when we fight, we fight for the civil liberties of all human beings is a very west-centric way of thinking, but no one really seems to see that. It justifies way too much. I mean, when non-Christians were being tortured, mutilated, and slaughtered during the Reformation, the perpetrators thought they were "helping" them to be redeemed. We need to stop thinking our ways are best and look at how we can improve conditions here before butting our nose into everyone else's beeswax.

Today at work, clearly filming Black Swan, were Natalie Portman:
who I saw, although unfortunately from very far away. Goddamn but she's gorgeous. Did you know she was born in Jerusalem? For some creepy reason I decided to watch Star Wars again a couple nights ago, but I pull it out every once in a while for a revisit, so I guess that's not too weird.
And Mila Kunis:
who I didn't see, although someone tried to point her out to me.
Very exciting.
Even more exciting, though. I got my Balenciaga coat!!! OMG it's so freaking gorgeous I can't even stand it:
As with the shoes, it looks way hotter in person. This glamour shot doesn't really do it any justice at all. Plus, I won't be able to really wear it for a while because it needs to be altered for me. I finally convinced my mom to get it for me for Christmas (she thinks spending this much money on clothes is insane--although it was on sale and I got a great deal) by explaining that we don't drive cars here. Cars are freaking expensive. We have two things really to get us around in style and comfort in NYC: shoes and coats. So I said replacing my worn out coat was like replacing a cracked windshield. Her car is a bit old, but it's maintained like crazy, it looks brand new, which takes money. And it's not like she drives a Toyota, I mean, it is a BMW after all. She said "well, I'm grateful you didn't ask for a car for Christmas!" LOL
